Movement disorders as a new neurological clinical picture in severe SARS-CoV-2 infection

In this paper, recently published in the European Journal of Neurology, the authors identified and performed in depth clinical characterisation of a new type of delayed onset movement disorder in five patients who were admitted to the AP-HP intensive care unit (ICU) units for severe SARS-CoV-2 infection.

In this paper, recently published in the European Journal of Neurology, the authors identified and performed in depth clinical characterisation of a new type of delayed onset movement disorder in five patients who were admitted to the AP-HP intensive care unit (ICU) units for severe SARS-CoV-2 infection. Upper limb postural and action-tremor was observed in 4 patients; one of them also had irregular orthostatic tremor and one patient had bilateral upper limb jerky/myoclonic abnormal movements at rest and during posture and action. All patients underwent intubation and mechanical ventilation.
