Brain Health Summit 2022
European Brain Health Summit
Tuesday May 31, 2022, 14.00 – 17.15 CEST
The European Academy of Neurology (EAN) Brain Health Strategy will greatly contribute to the resilience of Europe’s Healthcare system by not only reducing the burden of chronic neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer’s Disease, stroke, epilepsy, through a preventive medicine approach but by further enhancing treatment and rehabilitation through more neurology research. In collaboration with its 47 national neurological societies and its more than 45,000 members, it aims to integrate a ‘One brain, one life, one approach’ into neurology care across Europe.
As COVID-19 continues to test the resilience of Europe’s healthcare systems, it is vital to ease the growing burden of neurological disorders. The recent development of National Brain Health Plans in several EU members states has brought much needed political momentum to this issue, and with Brain Health being brought to the EU agenda via the 2022- 2023 Trio presidency, it is sure to feature as key component of healthcare strategy in the near future.
This event will address the following key questions:
- What is Brain Health & how does it relate to neurology and other fields of healthcare?
- How can an approach centred on Brain Health improve healthcare outcomes in Europe?
- What is the current landscape of Brain Health initiatives in Europe?
- What is the future for Brain Health in the EU?
