STROKE AND COVID-19

In this paper, Baracchini  et al., share their single-center experience of the substantial changes in the acute stroke management pathway during the COVID-19 outbreak. In particular, the authors observed a decreased number of patients with minor strokes and TIAs, longer onset-to-door and door-to-treatment times for major strokes, and reduced number of transfers from spoke units to the hub. Moreover, they propose a specific protocol for acute stroke management during the Coronavirus-19 outbreak.
