Proposing a new Scientific Panel
The EAN Scientific Committee together with the Board place a great importance on the Panels and are in favour of their potential expansion. For this purpose, a procedure for proposing a new Scientific Panel has been established. Those who are interested in forming a new EAN Scientific Panel may put forward their proposal to the EAN Scientific Committee for consideration.
The new Scientific Panel can be proposed by Fellows of EAN, Full & Corresponding members & European National Neurological Societies. At the same time, several preconditions need to be considered when proposing:
- Proposals must be made using a completed form.
- Proposals must inform on scientific interest of the new panel, describe potential international cooperation & cooperation with patients’ organisations, introduce aim and a strategic plan and finally provide supportive literature.
- Each proposal must be supported by at least 10 Individual EAN members (Full or Corresponding) and/or Fellows of EAN, who together are from at least 5 different countries, or members of 5 European National Neurological Societies.
Completed proposals will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee Members and if approved, announced in EANpage.
