Agne Straukiene
Agne Straukiene is a dedicated neurologist specialising in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) care, research, and innovation. As a consultant Neurologist at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust in the UK, she leads the MS service with patient-focused and technology-driven approaches. She has co-developed tools such as the MS Infoflex system, Patients Know Best software, and the Connect Plus app. She is currently working on integrating AI and AR technologies into a Research 2.0 blueprint to revolutionise MS care and clinical trials.
Recognised as the "Tesla of Neurology", Dr Straukiene is celebrated for her visionary leadership and innovative approaches. A recipient of the International MS Brain Health Team Award 2022, she is known for establishing lifestyle-focused clinics and promoting holistic healthcare. She is also the founder and host of the BeeWellWithMS podcast, where she shares insights to empower patients and healthcare professionals alike.
Passionate about improving lives, Dr Straukiene combines research, technology, and holistic care to advance outcomes and inspire innovation in Neurology.
Vanessa Carvalho
Vanessa Carvalho is a neurologist at Hospital Santa Maria in Lisbon. Her main fields of work and research are genetic movement disorders and DEI in care. She is a past member of the RRFS Office and is currently a member of the Young Members committee of the World Federation of Neurology and of the Movement Disorders Society. She is also working with the Guideline Production Group and the DEI coordinating panel of the EAN.
