Your EAN Congress Story Competition
Have you already attended a past EAN congress?
Are you thinking about attending the EAN Congress 2025?
This year, we are introducing a new competition, Your EAN Congress Story. This is your opportunity to share your experiences at and/or expectations of the EAN congress with the rest of the community. Enter your submission for a chance to win a free registration for the 11th Annual Congress of the European Academy of Neurology in Helsinki, Finland on 21-24 June 2025! Best rated submissions will be featured on our social media channels.
To participate, come up with a creative slogan for the EAN congress and present it with your story about the EAN congress in one of the options below:
- A 2-minute video
- A set of 3-5 photographs and a short paragraph
- An original graphic and a short paragraph
All submissions must answer these guided questions in a video or paragraph form:
- Who are you? Tell us your name, city and country and profession!
- If you have already attended a past EAN congress, which encounters or takeaways from the event were vital to your studies or career? What did you like best about the congress? What were the highlights? If you have not yet attended any of the EAN congresses, what are your expectations and how can your participation at the congress contribute to your studies or career?
- Why would you like to attend the upcoming congress? What do you look forward to the most?
- Why should others in the neurological community participate in the EAN congress?
- What’s your slogan for the EAN congress?
Submission Guidelines:
- The recommended video format is square, MP4 with 1080px resolution (full HD)
- The video could be that of yourself speaking or a compilation of photographs you took showcasing your experience attending any past EAN congresses with a narration (or a combination of both!).
- You do not need to submit a paragraph.
- The recommended photograph size is square, JPEG with 1080 x 1080px resolution.
- The maximum paragraph length is 200 words.
- The photographs should showcase your experience at any past EAN congresses. If you have not attended one, you may use photos of yourself engaging in neurological tasks or activities.
- The recommended graphic size is square, JPEG with 1080 x 1080px resolution.
- The maximum paragraph length is 200 words.
- Your original graphic should portray your experience at any past EAN congresses. If you have not attended one, you can be creative but make sure it’s related to neurology and the upcoming EAN congress.
- You can submit more than one option to increase your chance to win!
- We encourage you to be creative to impress the jury members!
- Your work must be your own and original and must not infringe any copyright law.
- AI-generated/assisted submissions may automatically be disqualified.
- If your photographs contain individual which can be identified, you must receive their consent prior to your submission.
- At the time of submission, all submitters will have to confirm that they have obtained the consent from identifiable individuals in their photographs to use their recordings and images for their submission and that the submitters give EAN the permission to use the submissions commercially for the EAN website (www.ean.org), EAN Congress websites, www.eanpages.org, website of the European Journal of Neurology, or other online channels belonging to EAN, such as social media (X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Vimeo). In addition, submitters must agree that they release EAN from any reasonable expectation of privacy or confidentiality associated with the media specified above. They also release EAN from liability for any claims by them or any third party in connection with their participation. Lastly, they must agree that they further acknowledge that their participation is voluntary and that they will not receive financial compensation of any type associated with the taking or publication of these recordings. They acknowledge and agree that publication of said visuals confers no rights of ownership or royalties whatsoever.
Who can participate?
Anyone from the EAN community or anyone who is interested in attending the EAN congress can take part in this competition. Note that congress participants must be at the age of 18 or above.
How can you submit?
Submission opens on Monday 3 February 2025. Upload your submissions using our form.
Make sure you have a Google account to upload your submission.
When is the submission deadline?
Tuesday 25 February 2025 (23:59 CET).
How will your submission be judged?
Submissions will be reviewed and rated on quality, design, creativity and originality.
What can you win?
Winners receive a free onsite registration for the EAN Congress 2025 and will be announced around mid-March. Best rated submissions will be posted on our social media channels.
The prize is neither transferable nor exchangeable for any other prize. It is also not redeemable for cash. The decision and results concerning the prize are final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into after selection is made.
