EAN virtual congress
Yes, the EAN Congress 2021 will be live streamed from 19 - 22 June 2021.

The on-demand content will go online on June 18, 2021 after the Opening session, i.e. at 20h. For all participants, who do have a ticket for the congress, the content will be available until 5 July 2021.
From 6 July onwards it will only be available for EAN Individual members (Fellows of EAN, Full, Corresponding, Resident & Research and Student members).
All sessions and lectures will be available on-demand in the EAN Virtual Congress area from 19 June - 6 July 2021 for all registered participants. The content will be available from 6 July 2021 onwards for all EAN individual members only.
To attend the online congress, you need a good internet connection, your computer/laptop and a headset/headphones as well as a valid registration.

EAN is organising an online business meeting for every EAN Scientific Panel. Further information and invitations will be provided by the Scientific Department to all Panel members as soon as possible.
If you need a certificate with a record of sessions’ attendance, please evaluate all sessions that you have attended. Your certificate will be available under “My Certificate” in “My Congress” area on the congress platform and in MyEAN area after the congress.
CME certificates will be available, upon evaluation, only to the participants of the live streamed and on-demand educational and scientific sessions during the congress (19-22 June 2021).
Evaluation deadline for CME Certificate: Tuesday, 22 June 2021, 23:59 CEST.

Educational activities, abstracts & posters
Yes, you will be able to get CME points when attending live sessions during the congress. As usual, please evaluate the sessions afterwards in order to obtain your CME certificate. Please note that CME points are not available for the on-demand webcasts after the congress.
If you are watching the congress in a team, please make sure that everybody is still logged in to the session with your personal device and evaluate the session in order to receive your certificate.
Our technical provider will invite you to upload your prerecroded presentation. Details will be posted in due course. Your abstract will be published in the European Journal of Neurology, but you must be registered to the virtual congress.
Yes, you have to be registered for the virtual congress. Deadline for registration for abstract presenters is 31 May 2021.
The ePoster sessions will be recorded in advance and will be available together with a short power point presentation. If the presenter is available, there will be a live Q&A session afterwards. If presenters will not be present during the session, there will be a contact button in the ePoster Area to send questions to the presenters.

There will be no printed abstract book available. The abstracts can be found on the EAN Virtual Congress platform, as online supplement to the European Journal of Neurology.
Please note that the embargo on all abstracts will be lifted officially on Friday, 18 June 2021, 18:30 CEST. This is when the European Journal of Neurology including all Abstracts will be released on the EAN Website.
Hands-on courses have been transferred into Practical Lessons (PL) which will offer practical demonstration (e.g. NCS, EMG, Evoked potentials), where the learning objectives include a specific skill e.g. neurophysiology, neuro-sonology, radiological interpretation, clinical assessment/examination skills.
At the virtual congress, most of these PL are for a limited number of 100 participants only, to ensure interaction and engagement with the audience. Speakers present partly live, and can thus communicate with the audience via the “raise-hand” or “chat-box” function. Recorded sessions will be available after the congress as webcast on demand.
If you would like to withdraw your abstract, please let us know as soon as possible by sending an email to abstracts(at)ean.org.
We can withdraw the abstract from the abstract book until 20 April 2021 at the latest. Withdrawal from the online database is possible at all times.
At the virtual congress, these sessions (IaS) are held live and are open for all participants. The opinions of colleagues will be collected and displayed during the session via pop-up windows, to engage the audience in an interactive way. Speakers present partly live and will engage in your answers via the chat-box function. Recorded sessions will be available after the congress as webcast on demand.

Registraion for EAN Congress 2021 is free of charge for members of the press. Please create a MyEAN account and contact press(at)ean.org to request the free registration as a member of press.
Member of the press who have contacted and registered with us by sending their info to press@ean.org, will receive a press pack containing press releases related to the congress in due course.
Registration
All bursaries from Paris 2020 will receive a free congress registration to the EAN congress 2021.
EBN Exam participants receive special discounts for the EAN Virtual Congress 2021:
• Participants with an EAN membership (Full Members, Corresponding Members and RRFS) receive a 20% discount
• Other participants will receive a 10% discount
The discount codes will be distributed by EBN administration

If you wish to become an EAN Individual Member and benefit from reduced registration fees, please apply for membership first, before or by May 31, 2021, and kindly await approval of your application.
You can do so conveniently within your myEAN account: https://my.ean.org/s/membership-application.
Please note that only those who have submitted their complete membership application before or by May 31, 2021 can benefit from the reduced congress fee for members. Everyone who applies for membership after June 1, 2021 has to pay the full congress registration fee.

Discount codes are only available for individual registrations and NOT for groups.
During the registration you will be asked to enter the billing address. Since the address deviates from your contact information please select alternative billing address and insert the information of the third party.
Please log into you MyEAN account again and click on ‘EAN Events’, click on the tab ‘My Registration’ and select your group. Now please enter contacts’ email addresses and add them as participants to your group.
If persons are not in our database, the button ‘invite’ will be shown next to the textbox. By clicking ‘invite’, an email invitation to create a MyEAN account will be sent out – once the account is created, the group member is considered successfully registered.
Please log into you MyEAN and go to ‘EAN Events’, click on the tab ‘My Registrations’ and select the ticket for Congress 2021. In top right corner you will see the button ‘Do Payment’ – click on the button and select your preferred payment method to complete your registration.

You need to contact you clients to obtain their MyEAN login credentials and register them individually.
To receive the student ticket, you must have an active EAN student membership, otherwise you are charged the non-member fee.
No, it is not possible to transfer individual registrations
Yes, that the minimum amount for group registrations is 5 people.
Please note, the maximum amount of people to register in one group is 150. If you wish to register more, simply create another separate group.
