Yoga teacher:

An esteemed EAN Full member for several years, Yelena Marchenko is a neurologist, neurophysiologist, and certified yoga teacher. She has given several congress presentations and published several papers on the topic of neurophysiological studies of the electrical activity of pharmacoresistant epilepsy, electrocardiography, and neurological studies of migraine and sleep disorders.

Yoga exercises can offer excellent prevention and non-drug treatment for spasms and pain in the neck and back muscles, especially after prolonged sitting. Breathing exercises and meditation from yoga has actively been studied and used in the evidence-based approach to relieving psycho-emotional stress, treating panic attacks, dealing with anxiety, and for improving attention and recovery after long periods of work. Yoga practice and breathing exercises can help to relax the entire body after work or intense concentration. Yoga is a great and accessible opportunity to maintain and improve our mobility and psycho-emotional condition." – Dr Marchenko
